Enjoy the hometown holiday spirit of downtown Ridgefield from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 2 with a tree lighting, twinkling lights, decorated businesses, gifts, food and holiday sales. Have breakfast with Santa from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Ridgefield Administrative and Civic Center. Browse the vendors at the Chickadee Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the center’s gym. Visit the Holiday Food and Gift Vendor Marketplace in Overlook Park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with 60 local vendors. See the Circle of Trees decorating contest and vote for your favorite. Visit with Santa Claus at the Old Liberty Theater from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enjoy main stage performances by local bands and choirs in Overlook Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cap the day off at the tree-lighting ceremony in Overlook Park at 4:30 p.m. with dancing, carols, free hot chocolate and cookies.
