WSU Extension Clark County Master Gardener program will host an “On the Road” tour heat-loving plants from 8:45 to 4:30 p.m. July 25. The first stop is Clark Public Utilities, where Environmental Sustainability Manager Michael O’Loughlin will lead a tour of their very drought-tolerant site. The next stop is Cistus Design Nursery, specializing in international drought-tolerant plants. The final destination is English-inspired Lux Perennials with drought-loving native plants to replace fried hydrangeas. Lunch (not included in the tour cost) is at McMenamin’s Cornelius Pass Roadhouse. Vans depart Enterprise Rent-a-Car, 9319 N.E.
