Longest Night Service

St. John Lutheran Church, 11005 N.E. Highway 99, Vancouver, will host a Longest Night Service at 7 p.m. Dec. 21. It is a quiet service with live music, prayers and scripture readings. The sanctuary is dimly lit so that guests will feel comfortable crying. Toward the end of the service, attendees can come forward and light one or more candles to symbolize their burdens.
