The next meeting of the Daughters of the Pioneers of Washington Chapter #19 is 12:30 to 3 p.m. Jan. 2 in the St. Paul Room at Salmon Creek United Methodist Church, 12217 N.E. Highway 99, Vancouver. Member Pepper Toelle Kim will discuss the history of the Billiken figurine. A Billiken bottle was unearthed during the construction of the Hilton Vancouver Washington and is now part of the Clark County Historical Museum collection.
