On the Road Tour: Cultivating Your Garden

The Washington State University Clark County Extension Master Gardener program will host an On the Road Tour from 8:15 a.m.-4 p.m. June 18. The tour begins with a self-guided tour of The Grotto’s 62 acres of botanical gardens. Next stop is the century-old Portland Nursery to see a presentation on companion/succession planting. Lunch is on your own at The Yard at Montavilla (a food cart pod). The last stop is Tony’s Garden’s Center for a talk on vegetables, including cool weather crops and perennials. There’s a lot of walking on this tour, plus ramps and stairs. The cost is $35, plus $8 for entry to The Grotto. Vans depart from and return to Enterprise Rental in Hazel Dell.
