45th Parallel Universe presents “Treasures of the Baroque”

45th Parallel Universe presents “Treasures of the Baroque” from 7 to 8 p.m. March 2 at The Old Madeleine Church, 3123 N.E. 24th Ave., Portland. 45th Parallel founder Greg Ewer welcomes flutist Martha Long, keyboardist Byron Schenkman and violinist Adam LaMotte for an evening of Baroque masterpieces performed on historical instruments. Works include Bach’s “Brandenburg Concerto no. 5” (BWV 1050.2), Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber’s “Sonata Representativa,” G.F. Handel’s “Trio Sonata in G minor” (Opus 2 no. 5, HWV 390), G.F. Handel’s “Trio Sonata in B minor” (Opus 2 no. 1, HWV 386b), and Vivaldi’s “La Folia.” General admission tickets are $30 or $20 for seniors and students.
