Adult art students of Tom Relth’s “Era of Expression” class will present a First Friday show from 5-8 p.m. June 6 to showcase their work. The show, hosted by theARTScentered at the Vancouver Arts Hub, 1007 E. Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver, is free and open to the public. Relth, owner of Above & Below Art Studio, recently concluded his multi-week art history-based painting class for adults, “Era of Expression.” Students, some of whom had no prior professional art experience, created original works of art by examining the ideas and movements of the early 20th century, including Cubism, Fauvism, Constructivism and De Stijl. More classes will be offered in the fall. Learn more at above-below-art.com and theartscentered.org.
