Author Visit: Robert Michael Pyle and James Dott

Vintage Books will host an author event at 2 p.m. Sept. 20 featuring an afternoon of poetry and prose with Robert Michael Pyle and James Dott. Both will share from their most recent books: Pyle’s “Swimming with Snakes” and Dott’s “Touch Wood.” The event includes a Q&A and book signing. Pyle is author of “Where Bigfoot Walks” and “Sky Time in Gray’s River.” He is also founder of the Xerces Society, a leading conservation organization working to protect arthropods. Dott spent 30 years teaching in Oregon and around the world. His poetry has appeared in a range of publications and has earned him a loyal following, especially on Oregon’s North Coast.
