Autumn Pumpkins Clay Workshop at Kilnfolk

Kilnfolk Clay Studio, 108 W. Sixth St., Vancouver, will offer beginner-friendly Autumn Pumpkin Hand-Building workshops from 3-4 p.m. Sept. 21; 5:30-7 p.m. Oct. 8; 3:30-5 p.m. Oct. 12; and 5:30-7 p.m. Oct. 22. Craft a ceramic pumpkin using the pinch-pot method. Ages five and over are welcome with parental supervision. Instructors will guide students through the steps to create a classic pumpkin or add carvings or cut-outs to make a jack-o’-lantern. After the workshop, Kilnfolk staff will bisque fire pumpkins and add a single-color glaze. A custom glaze-painting session is available for additional cost. The pumpkin will be ready for pick-up about a month after the workshop. The cost is $55; sign up at kilnfolkclay.com.
