Birdhouse Books, 1001 Main Street (basement level), Vancouver, is hosting “The Work Poetry Workshop” led by Clark County’s former poet laureate, Christopher Luna. The workshop will meet from 9 a.m. to noon on the fourth Saturday of every month. The workshop is suitable for all experience levels. Students will explore poetry through weekly prompts and writing exercises. Students will also have the opportunity to read, share, and respond to one another’s works in a supportive group setting. There’s a $25 suggested donation to attend but no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. Zoom poetry workshops are also offered. Register at printedmattervancouver.com/creative-writing-workshops/. Drop-in workshops will take place on Jan. 27, Feb. 24, March 23, and April 27. The workshop will not meet in May.
