Birds of Prey Webinar

April 16 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$10.00 – $20.00

TreeSong Nature Awareness and Retreat Center will host a birds of prey webinar from 6 to 8 p.m. April 16.

Longtime birder and teacher Laura Whittemore will lead this virtual class on the many diurnal (active by day) birds of prey found west of the Cascades. From the ubiquitous Red-tailed Hawk to the frustratingly similar Cooper’s and Sharp-shinned Hawks, attendees will get ID tips, natural history facts, and resources for further study of these amazing birds.

The presentation will include: the major differences between eagles, hawks, and falcons, how to spot raptors and ID them by shape and size, habitat and prey preferences, tips on where to go raptor watching in winter in the Pacific Northwest.

Registration is required to attend. For more information or to register, visit www.treesongnatureawareness.org
