Blacksmithing Workshop

Pomeroy Farm, 20902 N.E. Lucia Falls Rd., Yacolt, will offer a Blacksmithing Workshop in the farm’s historic blacksmith shop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 29 for $125 per person. Blacksmith Steve Burpee will share the basics of forging. Students will learn  essential techniques to craft a split cross from fire. Students as young as 13 are welcome if attending with an adult. The cot includes all materials and safety gear. Students should wear long-sleeved shirts of natural fiber, have their hair tied back and wear closed-toe leather shoes.
