Camas Parks and Recreation is hosting the 34th annual Camas Egg Scramble, a free community Easter egg hunt at 1:30 p.m. on Easter Sunday, April 20, at Dorothy Fox Elementary School, 2023 N.W. 23rd Ave., Camas, while Crown Park is undergoing improvements. Over 10,000 candy- and prize-filled eggs will be hidden in designated egg hunting areas color-marked for age groups 2-3; 4-5; 6-7; 8-9; and 10-12. All ages start the egg hunt at the same time. Prizes in the eggs include candy, toys and prize tokens, which can be exchanged for prizes. Children should bring baskets or bags to hold their eggs and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults are not allowed in hunting areas except with children 2-3. A sensory area for children with special needs will be open from 1:30- 2:30 p.m.; for extra accommodation, call Krista Bashaw at 360-834-5307. The Traditional Easter Bonnet and Contemporary Hat Contest is at 2 p.m. near the school’s covered basketball structure. The contest is open to all ages (adults too) and no registration is necessary.
