Camas Plein Air Painting Competition

See artists compete for a $1000 prize during the Plein Air Art Event in downtown Camas from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 5. Artists will paint outside regardless of weather. Art will be displayed from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 5 at RedDoor Gallery, 411 N.E. Dallas St., Camas, with an award ceremony at 6 p.m. One thousand dollars in cash will be awarded to the first place winner, with $500 for second place and $200 for third place. People’s choice and honorable mention winners will receive $50. The event is a tribute to Marquita Call, late owner of Camas Gallery and founder of the town’s annual plein art festival, which started in 2013.
