Cancer Relay for Life Concert and Silent Auction

Grammy-winning guitarist Doug Smith with Judy Koch will perform a fundraising concert for the Clark County Cancer Relay for Life at 6 p.m. Aug. 1 at Latte Da Coffee House and Wine Bar, 205 E. 39th St., Vancouver, preceded by an auction at 5 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person and include a glass of house wine, draft beer or latte as well as a door prize drawing ticket. Smith is an acoustic guitarist who weaves together folk, classical, jazz and contemporary forms into his own fingerpicking style. His music has been heard on The Discovery Channel, NPR, TCM, CNN, ESPN and E!, as well as Martha Stewart and Good Morning America. He has appeared on Oregon ArtBeat, West Coast Live, Echoes and River City Folk. Smith also played guitar on the soundtracks for several movies, including Twister, Moll Flanders and August Rush.
