Celebration of Poetry

Poetry Moves, created by Artstra in partnership with C-TRAN, will honor poets who have engaged, delighted, and inspired riders with poems on buses during this 14th season of the program. This free public event is 1 to 3 p.m. April 6 at Magenta Theater, 1108 Main St., Vancouver. The guest of honor is Jack Straw Fellow Robert Lashley. Clark County Poet Laureate Susan Dingle and poet Christopher Diaz will also take the stage. To celebrate their achievement, the afternoon will include readings from this season’s Poetry Moves poets. Poetry Moves provides poetry on bus channel cards in all C-TRAN buses. Each year, ten new poems by local and regional poets or student poets are selected. Anyone can submit poems.
