See 150,000 Christmas lights at 4616 N.W. Franklin St., Vancouver, hung on ten homes and the newly added property of Our Lady of Lourdes church. The light display includes live entertainment, carolers, Santa Claus and “snowfall.” Boy Scouts will sell hot cocoa and treats on weekends during the month of December. The display will be on nightly between 5 and 10 p.m. including music and Santa appearing in an upstairs window along the route. See a life-size nativity scene with a 24-foot-tall star, a 60-foot lighted cedar tree, a 15-foot-tall snowman with characters from the Disney movie “Frozen,” Santa and his reindeer (including Rudolph), the Grinch and his dog Max, dancing Christmas trees, Charlie Brown and Snoopy and a wintry Pooh Corner.

At 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18, Father Leonardo Pestaño from Our Lady of Lourdes church will bless each of the street’s nativity scenes. Vancouver Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle and Clark County Sheriff elect John Horch will read the Christmas Story followed by a candlelight walk to each nativity display on Franklin street. Boy Scouts will sell hot cocoa on weekends. The Journey Carolers will be there from 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 22 and Santa will be there at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 23. “Snow” will fall on Dec. 24 and 25.

The Franklin street display is also collecting nonperishable foods for local food banks. Donations will go to organizations such as FISH of Vancouver and Saint Vincent De Paul Food Bank. There is a drop off location on Franklin Street until New Years Day. Stay up-to-date at holidaysonfranklin.com.
