Circle of Life Chum Salmon Celebration

Columbia Springs will host the Circle of Life Chum Salmon Celebration from 2-4 p.m. Dec. 6 to welcome returning salmon in this rain-or-shine event hosted by the Wood and Gordon families. Families are encouraged to drop by Wood’s Landing, S.E. Riverwood Lane, Vancouver, whenever it suits them. Speakers will be featured at 3 p.m. Guests can learn about chum salmon and observe the spawning chum salmon at Wood’s Landing. Park at Columbia Springs at 2 p.m. to walk as a group to the spawning site or park along Old Evergreen Highway (at least 10 feet away from the train tracks) and walk in on your own. Email kr******@*************gs.org if closer parking is needed. Guests should bring polarized sunglasses and binoculars if they have them and dress for the weather.
