
Clark County Historical Museum, Fourth Plain Forward and Humanities Washington invite the community to a presentation at 7 p.m. March 6 by history professor Amanda L. Van Lanen as part of the museum’s Speaker Series. “Big Apples, Big Business: How Washington Became the Apple State,” will delve into the history of Washington’s rise as the nation’s top apple producer and explore how the apple industry transformed from a regional crop to an industrialized commodity. Van Lanen is the author of “The Washington Apple: Orchards and the Development of Industrial Agriculture.” Doors open at 6:30 p.m. at Fourth Plain Commons, 3101 E.
