Clark County Historical Museum Speaker Series — “Growing Up in Vancouver: A Community Archive”

July 7 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$5

Clark County Historical Museum’s 2022 Speaker Series continues on July 7, with “Growing Up in Vancouver (WA): A Community Archive” presented by the museum’s executive director, Brad Richardson. The event will occur in-person at the Clark County Historical Museum, 1511 Main St., Vancouver,  Doors open at 5 p.m. and the event begins at 7 p.m.

The ubiquitousness of social media has provided many opportunities for people to interact with others around the world. Beyond simply a means to stay in touch with family and friends, social media has encouraged the growth of a range of special interest groups and pages. In this month’s presentation, the museum explores one such page, Growing Up in Vancouver Washington, and how one man’s vision to connect with others who grew up in the area has become a community trove of memories, images, and stories that enrich the narrative of our past.

General admission is $5, seniors and students are $4, children under 18 are $3 and the evening is free for museum members, veterans and active-duty military personnel. For more information, contact the museum at 360-993-5679 or outreach@cchmuseum.org.
