The work of 51 local artists will be featured in the Clark County Open Studios Tour, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 1-2. The free, self-guided tour allows artists to open their studios to the public, where guests can see artmaking in progress, from painting, printmaking and ceramics to sculpture, glasswork, woodworking, fiber arts, jewelry and photography. One young artist is chosen for the Christine Rice Emerging Artist Scholarship; this year’s recipient is muralist Ana Gabriela Honsowetz. To see a map of studio locations and information about each artist, visit artstra.org/open-studios/. Before the tour, the public is invited to the Open Studios Preview Exhibit at Art at the Cave Gallery from 5-8 p.m. Oct. 3, featuring one work by each artist. The exhibit will be on display through Oct. 26.
