free

Celebrate National Pollinator Week at Clark Public Utilities first-ever Pollinator Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 24 at the Clark Public Utilities Operation Center, 8600 N.E. 117th Ave, Vancouver. More than 25 agencies, organizations, universities, artisans and local businesses will participate in this free outdoor festival. Take a pollinator garden tour and learn how to provide food and habitat for Clark County’s native pollinators. Doug Tallamy, professor and best-selling author of “Nature’s Best Hope,” will give a presentation on ways to turn your yard into a conservation corridor for wildlife habitat. Pick up pollinator-friendly plants and seeds at the festival and bring your inspiration home. This event includes crafts and activities for children. A demonstration beehive will offer a close-up look at bees. The event includes a farmer’s market, food trucks and music.
