Columbia Gorge Model Railroad Club spring open house

The Columbia Gorge Model Railroad Club will host a spring open house from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 3 and 4 at the clubhouse on 2505 N. Vancouver Ave., Portland. Admission is $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 3-11 and free for tots under 3. Hour-long VIP tours ($25) start at 8:30 a.m. each day. Some onsite parking is available with additional curbside parking in the neighborhood. The layout portrays the city of Portland and the Columbia River Gorge to Wishram in the 1950s, allowing the running of both steam and diesel locomotives by volunteer club operators. Three miles of track snake past hand crafted models of Union Station, Vista House, Multnomah Falls Lodge and a custom 3D printed Stonehenge Memorial.
