Composting Field Training

Join volunteers to work at the The Heritage Farm compost demo site, located at 1919 N.E. 78th St., starting at 10 a.m. April 19.

Composting Field Instruction includes:
-Types of composting systems
-How to build a hot compost pile
-How to turn a compost pile
-How to use compost
-How to make a lasagna garden
-Weed identification

Please be sure to dress for the weather (wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and sturdy work boots), bring garden gloves, snacks/water.
