WSU Vancouver will host a free screening of the documentary “Buffalo Soldiers: Fighting on Two Fronts” in the Firstenberg Student Commons from 3 to 5 p.m. Feb. 28. as part of WSU Vancouver’s Black History Month events.
Interviews, reenactments, animations and more tell the story of the Black army regiments, formed after the Civil War, that played vital roles—from railroad builders to park rangers—in the American settling of the West.
Director/Producer Dru Holley will take questions after the screening. Holley, who lives in Vancouver, is passionate about producing inspiring stories that empower viewers to rethink broken systems.
