March 20 @ 8:30 am - 11:00 am
The Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction and the Washington Geological Survey are teaming up to bring you the first in a series of two workshops about earthquake fundamentals and earthquake early warning (or “ShakeAlert”). The workshop kicks off with a three hour session on Saturday, March 20, and continues through the following three Tuesdays in the late afternoon. Participants can earn up to an additional four hours for preparing, implementing, and reporting back with examples of student work from their classroom. Two STEM clock hours will be awarded for each lesson that is implemented and for which examples of student work are provided.
