Ekklesia Theatre presents “When the World Was Green (A Chef’s Fable)”

Ekklesia Theatre presents “When the World Was Green (A Chef’s Fable),” playing May 30-June 8 at Magenta Theater, 1108 Main St., Vancouver. Showtimes are 7 p.m. May 30, 31, June 6 and 7 with 2 p.m. matinee performances on June 1 and 8. Tickets ($15) are available at ekklesiatheatre.com; some complimentary tickets are also available. In prison for killing the wrong man, an aging chef recounts his family’s centuries-old feud to a young journalist. As the story unfolds, so does the truth—and hope for redemption. Half of ticket proceeds will be donated to Olive Crest, an organization serving youth and families in crisis.
