Farewell to the Dragon, Welcome to the Snake

Art at the CAVE presents “Farewell to the Dragon, Welcome to the Snake,” an exhibit celebrating the transition from the Year of the Dragon to the Year of the Snake, according to the Chinese zodiac calendar. The Year of the Snake begins with the Lunar New Year on Jan. 29.

The opening reception for the new exhibit is 5 to 9 p.m. Jan. 3, during downtown Vancouver’s First Friday Art Walk. The show features works by artists from all over the region. An Artists’ Talk is 1 to 2 p.m. Jan. 18, where guests are invited to meet the artists and learn more about their inspiration and process. Regular gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
