Fort Vancouver Rose Society General Membership Meeting

The next meeting of the Society will be Thursday, October 3, at 7 p.m. in the Parish Hall of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Vancouver. We are excited to share that Jason Croutch of Fraser Valley Rose Farm on Nicomen Island (just east of Mission, British Columbia, Canada) will be our special speaker. Via webinar connection, Jason will speak to FVRS members, their guests and meeting visitors on “What to Do in the Fall to Grow Exquisite Roses in the Spring and Summer.”
Jason and his wife, Lisa, sell roses and companion plants for their local market. Unfortunately, that means they do not accept any U.S. orders. However, we can certainly learn from them!
Jason propagates roses on their own roots, mainly from the farm’s collection of mother stock. They maintain their plants with minimal spraying (sulfur, baking soda) and absolutely none of the “hard stuff” as “a little blackspot or some aphids” can be tolerated.
