The Fort Vancouver Rose Society, founded in 1953, will hold its 68th Annual Rose Show, “Celebrating 70 Years of Roses,” from 1 to 4 p.m. June 24 at First Evangelical Church, 4120 N.E. St. Johns Road, Vancouver. This event, free and open to the public, is one of the largest rose shows in Washington state. Exhibits of the most beautiful roses grown in the Northwest — hybrid teas, floribundas, grandifloras, old garden roses, miniatures and mini-floras — will be on display along with arrangements of large roses and miniatures. Entries from all rose growers will be accepted from 7 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Newcomers are welcome. Trophies and Queen of Show will be awarded at 3 p.m. For more details, call Margaret Snitzler at 360-695-0456 or Louis Rossetto at 360-573-8033.
