Free Zoom Presentation: Our Urban Tree Canopy

September 13, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

free

The Master Gardener Program and Foundation of Clark County are co-sponsoring a free Zoom presentation about Vancouver’s tree canopy by Jessica George, education and outreach coordinator for Urban Forestry, at 7 p.m. Sept. 13.

Trees form the urban canopy, which improves air quality, moderates the heat island effect, manages stormwater and provides habitat. In 2021, Vancouver worked with Planit Geo to create an updated tree canopy assessment across the city. In this presentation, George will share information about the current state of our community’s urban forest, plans to continue to grow a healthy, equitable tree canopy, and how to get involved. Register for free at wsu.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJAtde6rrDIqGtDzcPxF3fckLvBpLwxMnEde. After registering, attendees will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. Attendees must have a free Zoom account. Visit zoom.us to sign up.
