Clark County Green Neighbors is celebrating the program’s anniversary with a free cooking class, “Scrappy Cooking,” from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at the Vancouver Community Library Columbia Room, 901 C St., Vancouver. Creative cooking expert Stacey Tigner-Loy from the WSU Clark County Extension SNAP-ED program will help participants reimagine leftovers to reduce food waste. The event includes a cooking demonstration, question-and-answer session and online recipe book. Registration at clarkgreenneighbors.org is suggested but not required. The event will also include raffle prizes and light refreshments. Guests who bring their own reusable cup will receive a second raffle ticket.
