The Halloween display at 4616 N.W. Franklin St., Vancouver, has been a community favorite for decades. Last year, an estimated 10,000 trick-or-treaters visited the site. The Mains family has been decorating their home for more than 37 years and this year’s display offers many new additions. The display now stretches over four properties and includes 12-foot skeletons, 12-foot inferno pumpkin monsters, 12-foot witch and werewolf, a gondola, brewing cauldrons and skeletons climbing a 25-foot flag pole. Candy is provided by Waste Connections. On Halloween night between 5 and 9 p.m., Beaches Restaurant will give a $100 gift card to every thousandth trick-or-treater.
Drive by to see the display from 6 to 9 p.m. every day through Oct. 30. On view are lights, animatronics, special effect videos and holograms accompanied by Halloween tunes. On Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., Jack Skellington makes a visit to meet guests and take pictures. On Halloween night, trick-or-treating from 5 to 9 p.m. features costumed actors lurking in the display on on the driveway for scares and candy. For more details, visit HalloweenOnFranklin.com.
