Pomeroy Farm, 20902 N.E. Lucia Falls Road, Yacolt, will offer three homesteading workshops this March: “Herbs, Oils and Salves” at 10 a.m. March 4; “Beekeeping 101” at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. March 11; and “Intro to Canning” at 10 a.m. March 18. - Herbs, Oils and Salves ($45): In this class taught by Urban Snail‘s Rachel Feston, you will learn a variety of skills including growing herbs at home, infusing herbs into oils and the basics of salve-making. Make and take home your first batch of salve.
- Beekeeping 101 ($65): In this class, Joy Bochsler of Joyful Honey & Beekeeping Supply will teach you all the essentials you need to know about home beekeeping, from getting your first queen to harvesting the sweet rewards of your work.
- Intro to Canning ($45): In this class, Rachel Feston of Urban Snail will walk you through the basics of ensuring food quality, proper processing methods and canning equipment.
