Washington State University Vancouver faculty from the library and history program will host a skill shop series during the 2025/26 academic year designed to strengthen community participation skills. The How to Be Active Skill Shop Series is 1:30-2:30 p.m. every other Tuesday in the Library Reading Room. For more details, visit hub.wsu.edu/how2bactive. The schedule is as follows:

  • Sept. 9: De-escalation and Conflict Resolution
  • Sept. 23: Civics 101
  • Oct. 7: Community Collaboration
  • Oct. 21: Humans Depend on Each Other

  • Nov. 18: Artificial Intelligence, Labor and the Environment
  • Dec. 2: Equitability for All
