Howl-o-ween Pooch Parade and Pet Costume Contest

The Battle Ground Community Center, 912 N.E. Main St., Battle Ground, will go to the dogs at 6 p.m. Oct. 27 with the Howl-o-ween Pooch Parade and Pet Costume Contest. Adorable pups will be on parade in the first ever Battle Ground “Barks” and Recreation pet costume contest. Registration is open until Oct. 20; the entry fee is $5 per canine contestant. Prizes will be awarded courtesy of local businesses. Winners will get a $100 gift card from Wilco Farm Store, gift baskets from Alder Creek Vet Clinic, All Natural Pet Supply and VCA Battle Ground.

K9 Officer Charlie will be in attendance, serving as the grand marshal of the pet parade. Admission is free for spectators. Details can be found at cityofbg.org.
