Indigenous Peoples’ Day celebrations at Washington State University Vancouver

In honor of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, the Collective for Social and Environmental Justice at Washington State University Vancouver, 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave., Vancouver, is hosting three separate events on Oct. 12 and 13. The events are open to the public and attendance is free. Parking passes are available at the kiosks on campus.

  • Sam Robinson, Vice Chairman of the Chinook Indian Tribe, and Lana Jack, Celilo Wyam activist, will discuss “Federal Recognition and Indigenous Sovereignty,” speaking respectively on the Chinook and Celilo Wyam struggles for self-determination.
