Journey Theater Arts presents “Footloose”

Journey Theater Arts presents “Footloose” from Nov. 8-15 at Fort Vancouver High School, 5700 E. 18th St., Vancouver. Showtimes are 1 and 6 p.m. Nov. 8 and 15 and 7 p.m. Nov. 14. Tickets are $17 to $21. The show is recommended for audiences age 10 and up.

When Ren and his mother move from Chicago to a small farming town, he’s prepared for the adjustment period at his new high school. What he isn’t prepared for are the local edicts, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher. When the reverend’s daughter sets her sights on Ren, her boyfriend tries to sabotage Ren’s reputation, with many of the locals eager to believe the worst about the new kid.
