Journey Theater presents “Bye Bye Birdie”

Journey Theater presents “Bye Bye Birdie” with showtimes at 7 p.m. March 3, 4, 10 and 11 and matinee performances at 2 p.m. March 4 and 11. All performances are at Fort Vancouver High School, 5700 E. 18th St., Vancouver. Tickets are $14 for youth ages 2 to 18 and for seniors ages 62 and over. Tickets are $17 for adults ages 19 to 61. Tickets are $2 more at the door.

A loving musical send-up of the early 1960s, small-town America, teenagers, and rock and roll, this musical remains as fresh and vibrant as ever. Teen heartthrob Conrad Birdie has been drafted, so he chooses all-American girl Kim McAfee for a very public farewell kiss. Hit songs include “Put on a Happy Face,” “One Last Kiss,” “One Boy,” “A Lot of Livin’ to Do,” “Kids!” and “Rosie.”
