Kingsugi Exhibit at Japanese Garden

The Japanese Garden will host an exhibit exhibition, Kintsugi: The Restorative Art of Naoko Fukumaru, through Jan. 27.  Kintsugi is a Japanese artform that takes broken items such as ceramics and mends them with lacquer dusted with powdered gold. This exhibit will explore themes of healing through the artwork of kintsugi artist and master conservator Naoko Fukumaru. The exhibit is included with admission to the garden. The cost is $21.95 for adults, $18.95 for seniors 65 and older, $17.95 for students with ID, $15.95 for youth ages 6 to 17, and free for children age five and younger. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Mondays. Last entry is at 4:30 p.m. but guests have until 5:30 p.m. to enjoy the garden. Learn more at japanesegarden.org.
