Love Street Playhouse presents “The Miracle Worker”

Love Street Playhouse, 126 Loves Ave., Woodland, presents “The Miracle Worker,” Feb. 14-March 9. This Tony Award-winning play is the story of Annie Sullivan and her blind and deaf student, Helen Keller. The play explores the volatile relationship between a teacher and her headstrong charge. Young Helen is violent and spoiled, treated by her family as subhuman. Only Annie sees a mind and spirit waiting to be rescued. After intense physical and emotional struggle, Helen’s breakthrough arrives with a single word: “water.” Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14, 15, 21, 27, 28, March 6, 7 and 8; matinees are 2 p.m. Feb. 16, 22, 23, March 1, 2 and 9.
