Magenta Theater presents “Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story”

Magenta Theater presents “Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story,” playing from Dec. 6-22 at 1108 Main St., Vancouver. The play is an adaptation of the holiday classic, reimagined through theatrical storytelling. Actors transform from narrators into characters, and beloved carols are sung to joyful or sinister effect, giving a fresh perspective to this familiar Christmas story. Attendees are asked to bring food (jams and jellies, coffee, canned meat, canned soup, baking ingredients and seasonings or spices for the FISH Westside Food Pantry. Collection boxes will be in the lobby. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20 and 21. Matinee shows are 2 p.m. Dec. 8, 15 and 22. Tickets are $25 in advance at magentatheater.com or $28 at the door.
