“Makin’ Cake” with Wisconsin Poet Laureate Dasha Kelly Hamilton

Clark College and Fourth Plain Forward will offer two free events with Wisconsin Poet Laureate Dasha Kelly Hamilton: A writing workshop at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 15 at the Gaiser Student Center and “Makin’ Cake,” performed by Hamilton at 3 p.m. Oct. 12 at Fourth Plain Community Commons, 3101 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Ste. 101, Vancouver. “Makin’ Cake” is a 50-minute performance exploring history, culture and community through the lens of cake, followed by a 60-minute community discussion with free cake provided by Clark College Baking and Pastry Arts students. Free childcare will be available.
