Master Gardener Zoom Presentation: “Soil! What It Is and How It Works”

At 7 p.m. Oct. 11, the Master Gardener Program and the Master Gardener Foundation of Clark County will cosponsor a Zoom presentation by James Cassidy, soil science instructor at Oregon State University, entitled “Soil! What It Is and How It Works.” Students will learn what soil nutrients are, how soil stores water and nutrients and more. The workshop is free.

Cassidy has been an Instructor of Soil Science at Oregon State University for over 15 years and is also the faculty advisor for the OSU Organic Growers Club, OSU’s student farm. He is passionate about soil, and his dynamic speaking style makes him popular with students – his introductory class has over 100 enrollees.
