Metropolitan Performing Arts presents Disney’s Winnie the Pooh KIDS

Metropolitan Performing Arts presents “Disney’s Winnie the Pooh KIDS,” an outdoor show staring local young actors. The show, based on the beloved characters of A.A. Milne and the 2011 Disney animated feature film, is the a culmination of a 2-week beginning-intermediate summer musical theater intensive and feature performers between the ages of 6 and 12. Welcome to the Hundred Acre Wood, where Winnie the Pooh is once again in search of honey. Along the way, he meets his pals, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit and Owl, but soon discovers that Christopher Robin has been captured by the mysterious Backson! As they prepare for a rescue operation, the animals learn about teamwork, friendship and, of course… sharing snacks.
Outdoor performances are 2 p.m. Friday, July 2, and at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 3 on the field behind Metropolitan Performing Arts, 6403 E. Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver. Park in the Park Hill Shopping Center parking lot and walk to the backside of the building. Bring a blanket or lawn chair; no seating is provided. A few shade tents will be reserved for older audience members. Seating is first-come, first serve. Admission is a suggested donation of $5 but no one will be turned away. Restrooms are on site. The show is approximately 30 minutes long. Stay afterward for a meet-and-greet with the characters.
