Metropolitan Performing Arts Presents “The Merry Wives of Windsor”

Shakespeare’s “The Merry Wives of Windsor,” presented by Metropolitan Performing Arts, has been abridged and set in 1972 as a Women’s study group road trips from San Francisco to Washington DC to attend the Women’s Rights March. Naturally, not everything remains copacetic. Can you dig it? The play will be performed at several outdoor venues around Vancouver. All shows are at 6 p.m. and all performances are free. Audiences should bring blankets, lawn chair and a picnic — except for the July 22 and 23 performances at La Uva Fortuna, which allows no outside food, though food and drinks will be available to buy on site.
