One event on February 26, 2020 at 5:30pm
Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) will host evening skiing and snowboarding experiences for individuals who are blind or visually impaired at Mt. Hood Meadows. NWABA’s programs are designed to build confidence by stepping outside one’s comfort zone, to foster friendships with peers who understand what it is like to be visually impaired, and encourage independence through an active, healthy lifestyle.
NWABA’s skiing and snowboarding events will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 pm on Wednesdays, Feb. 19 and 26. Anyone who is blind or visually impaired is encouraged to join in this opportunity to learn basic fundamentals and skills to participate in skiing and snowboarding. Only 12 spaces available per night. Equipment rental, lift pass, and transportation are included. To reserve your space, register online at www.nwaba.org/events or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Donations to support sports and physical activity for individuals who are blind or visually impaired are accepted by mailing a check to P.O. BOX 65265, Vancouver, WA, 98665, or making an online gift at www.nwaba.org.
