The WSU Extension Clark County Master Gardener program is offering a driving tour of regional gardens from 8:30 to 4:30 p.m. May 23. The first stop Smart Bee Pollination and La Center Gardens & Family Farm. Smart Bee Pollination’s honeybees pollinate flowers in La Center Gardens & Family Farm, growing daffodils, tulips, lilies and sunflowers. The next stop is La Center Tree Farm, which has been selling Christmas trees for 22 years, but is transition to timber to preserve open space and improve wildlife habitat. Tourgoers can purchase their own lunches at Los Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant. The last stop is Tsugawa Nursery, specializing in Japanese maples, bonsai and water gardens. There we’ll learn what native plants are the best pollinators. Meet at Enterprise Rent-a-Car, 9319 N.E. Highway 99, Vancouver. The tour departs at 8:30 sharp. The cost is $35.
