Online Class: “All About Hummingbirds”

TreeSong Nature Awareness Center presents a virtual class, “All About Hummingbirds,” with instructor Laura Whittemore, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. April 22. Learn about Pacific Northwest hummingbirds as well as other North and South American species. Students will come away with an even greater appreciation for these tiny birds, plus tips on how to invite hummingbirds into yards and gardens. Whittemore has taught classes for Audubon Society of Portland and previously worked for Backyard Bird Shop. She holds a BA in biology from Lewis and Clark College and has traveled in the US, Australia, South Africa, and Antarctica in search of birds.
