Original Practice Shakespeare Festival presents “The Life of Henry the Fifth”

The Original Practice Shakespeare Festival presents a free, live performance of “The Life of Henry the Fifth” from 7 to 9:30 p.m. July 25 at Irving Park, 707 N.E. Fremont St., Portland. The actors have no idea what character they will play until the audience casts the show one hour prior to curtain. Arrive early  to help cast the show before the play begins. This performance is not suitable for children. Picnics are welcome and all attendees should wear masks. Here’s a plot synopsis:

Hal’s all grown up! The Dauphin mocks Hal with tennis balls. War starts between England and France. Meanwhile, Falstaffe’s dead, so Pistoll takes over. Buddies Bardolph and Nym get hanged for stealing, and Pistoll is force-fed a leek. Henry wins the war, but must now woo a wife. In French.
